World Breastfeeding Week

Breastfeeding reminds us of the universal truth of abundance. Breastfeeding is an instinctual and natural act , but it is also an art that is learned day by day. The more we give out , the more we are filled up, and that divine nourishment – the source from which we all draw is , like a mother’s breast, ever full and ever flowing.
Breast milk can reduce your baby’s risk of stomach viruses, asthama, childhood diseases, ear infections and the flu. This also helps a baby to gain a weight at a healthy pace.Young mother usually avoid breastfeeding their baby, which is harmful for both mother and child. It is very important to raise awareness regarding breastfeeding because it plays a vital role for a mother and a baby. The benefits of breastfeeding for a mother are :
(i) Breastfeeding lowers the risk for breast and ovarian cancer upto 33% compared to the woman who has never breastfeed a child.
(ii) Producing milk can burn upto 500 calories per day.
(iii) The bonding time with your baby, breastfeeding brings closeness-watch your baby thrive and grow everyday.
The reality is that almost all women can breastfeed, have enough milk for their babies and learn how to overcome problems both large and small. It is always simply a matter of practical knowledge. Breastfeeding is more than just feeding your baby .It’s determination love and patience.
